Export itinerary to Word

Tourwriter allows you to export your itinerary to a Word document and you can customise the output by Including or Excluding certain fields before exporting.

Export settings

After creating an itinerary and editing any postcard descriptions or images as necessary, navigate ti the Export button on the top right navigation bar:
  1. Click the Export button
  2. Select the Word document option from the Export Itinerary as list
  3. Choose to Include or Exclude items listed below
  4. Click the Export button.
  5. Save the file to your computer.

List of fields to include or exclude

  1. ItineraryID: Includes or Excludes the ItineraryID
  2. ItineraryI dates Includes or Excludes the Itinerary dates.
  3. Map: Includes or Excludes Map.
  4. Outline: Includes or Excludes Outline section.
  5. Descriptions: Includes or Excludes the Item description.
  6. Supplier names: Includes or Excludes the Supplier names. User can use the Custom button to include/exclude Supplier names only for specific Product types.
  7. Supplier details: Includes or Excludes Supplier contact, Supplier Website information, Booking Confirmation number, Check-in instructions and Note to Traveller.. User can custom select Products to include/exclude details using the Custom button.
  8. Item mages: Includes or Excludes images for Introduction and Items(Bookable and non bookable). Note, Itinerary logo, Itinerary Hero image and PDF cover image will be shown even if Exclude selected
  9. Details section: Includes or Excludes all the item details shown in the box below the item image and description.
  10. Item details: Includes or Excludes the Confirmation number, Inclusions, Amenities, Check-in instructions Note to traveller and Cancellation policy.
  11. Item dates: Includes or Excludes Item dates on the Map, Outline and day by day.
  12. Item times: Includes or Excludes Item times in Outline and day by day.
  13. Pricing: Includes or Excludes Itinerary Total price, Price per traveller and Agent total price based on the selection in Pricing tab-> Pricing display options
  14. Payments timeline: Incudes or Excludes Payments timeline. Payments timeline is only displayed if Pricing(above) is included and Show payments timeline on the itinerary is ticked in Payments-> Incoming payments.
  15. Terms and conditions: Includes or Excludes the Terms and conditions set for the Itinerary.
  16. Agent details: Includes or Excludes the Itinerary owner details on the first page.
  17. Additional details: Includes or Excludes the Organisation name from the Brand and additional fields added to the footer.
  18. Page footer: Includes or Excludes the PDF page footer text from Organisation-> Customise-> [selected Brand]-> Page footer
  19. Start each day on a new page: Each Itinerary day will start on a new page in the Word document

Important information: 

• The page numbers in the page footer don't always display as expected
• Some tables may not be laid out properly (e.g. itemised pricing table) dependent on Item name length
• Itinerary cover page images aren't correctly aligned to the top of the page
• Itinerary logo may not be correctly positioned over the itinerary hero image
**All of these work correctly when the Word application is used; these are just incompatibilities on the Online version.
