Configuring agency commission on itineraries

Configuring agency commission on itineraries

InfoCommission setups snapshot to your itinerary when you add an agency — this protects your pricing from unexpected changes if the agency's rates change later.

Adding an agency to an itinerary

You can link one agency per itinerary. When you add the agency, a commission setup is copied from the agency record to that itinerary. You'll also select one agent contact from that agency to associate with the booking.

The snapshotted setup stays with the itinerary, even if you later change the agency's default rates.

Viewing and editing commission setup

How do I view the itinerary's commission setup?

Go to the itinerary's setup page and open the Agency section. You'll see the commission type and percentage (or per-product-type breakdown if configured).

Can I edit the commission percentage on this itinerary?

Yes. Edit the percentage directly on the itinerary setup page. Your changes apply only to this itinerary — the agency record is unaffected.

Can I set different commission percentages by product type on an itinerary?

Yes, if your agency record uses per-product-type commission setup. The breakdown copies to the itinerary, and you can edit individual product type percentages.

Why can't I change the agency contact from the itinerary setup page?

The agent contact is set when you first add the agency to an itinerary and cannot be changed there. If you need a different agent, remove the agency and add it again, selecting a different contact.

How commissions apply during price changes

When I refresh prices or update dates, which commission setup is used?

The commission setup saved on your itinerary setup page is always used — not the current rates on the agency record. This means your pricing stays consistent, even if the agency changes its rates later.

Manual price refreshes, date changes, time adjustments, and quantity changes all use the itinerary snapshot.

Duplicating an itinerary with agency pricing

How do I copy agency settings to a new itinerary?

When you duplicate an itinerary, a checkbox appears: "Include agency and agency pricing." If you check it, the agency link and the commission setup copy to the new itinerary.

You can then edit the commission setup on the new itinerary independently — changes don't affect the original.

What if I don't check the "Include agency and agency pricing" checkbox?

The new itinerary has no agency linked. You can add one later through the itinerary setup page.
