Templates save time when you build itineraries. A template is a reusable set of itinerary items that you can drop into any itinerary in one go, rather than adding services one by one. Build a library of templates for your most common tour types and your team can assemble itineraries in a fraction of the time.Creating a template
- Go to Itineraries in the main sidebar, then select the Templates sub-tab.
- Click Create template.
- Enter a template name, start date, and end date.
- The start date appears in the templates table and search results.
- The dates determine pricing for any items you add.
- Click Save. The Setup tab opens.
- Add tags to help you and your team find the template when building an itinerary.
- Build the template exactly as you would an itinerary. The duration (final day number) appears in the templates table and search results.
- Set up pricing as you would for a standard itinerary. The display price appears in the templates table and search results.
- Use the Preview tab to update descriptions or images.
How templates differ from itineraries
Templates follow the same structure as itineraries, with a few differences:
Setup tab: The template name, internal reference, ID, and owner are not carried across when the template is applied to an itinerary. The Status, Contributors, Agency, and Travellers panels are not available on templates.
Build tab: Works identically to the itinerary Build tab.
Pricing tab: Item prices transfer to the new itinerary when you apply the template. The itinerary display price does not transfer.
Preview tab: Works like the itinerary Preview tab, except the Hero section is excluded. Any preview edits you make in the template do transfer to the new itinerary.
The templates table
Templates are listed in order of creation date. The table shows the following columns:
- Name (from the Setup tab)
- Price (the display price from the Pricing tab)
- Start date (from the Setup tab)
- Duration (from the Build tab)
- Tags (from the Setup tab)
- Created date
Adding a template to an itinerary
- Open the itinerary and go to the Build tab.
- Navigate to the day you want to insert the template and click the + icon.
- In the Add item dialog, click the Templates sub-tab.
- Enter the template name, reference, or tag in the search field and click Search.
- Click the + button next to the template you want to add.
- Review the items, prices, and dates in the Add template dialog.
- Click Save to add all items to the itinerary, or Cancel to return to the search results.
Note: When template items are added to an itinerary, their prices are automatically locked. This prevents the pricing engine from refreshing them accidentally. You can unlock individual items manually when needed.
Items from a template are added all at once but must be removed individually if needed.
Duplicating a template
- In the templates table, click ... More next to the template you want to duplicate.
- Select Duplicate.
- Review and update the available fields.
- Click Create duplicate to return to the templates table.
Archiving and deleting templates
Archiving a template
Archiving removes a template from the active templates list without permanently deleting it.
- Click ... More next to the template.
- Select Archive.
To restore an archived template, toggle Show archived on the templates table, then click ... More next to the template and select Restore.
Deleting a template permanently
- Click ... More next to the template.
- Select Delete.
- Read the warning, then click Yes, delete to confirm.
Warning: Deleting a template is permanent and cannot be undone. The template will be removed from your organisation entirely.--
