Display price

Display price

The Display price function allows a User to easily override and Fix a display price which is visible to the traveller when sharing an itinerary or exporting to PDF. The Display price feature is useful to ensure the traveler price does not dynamically change during itinerary changes. The manually added Display price overrides the Total price on shared online itineraries and the PDF Itinerary export and only changes when edited by a User.

If a display price is entered, then the Price per traveller uses Display price to calculate Traveller price.

Display price video from release 1.71.00

We have enhanced the Display price feature with the release of 1.71.0 on the 19 August 2025. The video below reviews the changes and explains the new Fixed with dynamic net mode.

Display price setting options

In an itinerary, you manage the display price setting on the Pricing tab
  1. Scroll down to the Display price row.
  2. Click the â€¦More to open the option menu.
  3. Select the Edit display price option.
There are 3 display price options that can be used depending on how and what stage you are pricing your itinerary. By default, as Items are added to an itinerary, the Display price is dynamically calculated as the Total price changes. To override the dynamic calculation you can set the display mode to Fixed or Fixed with dynamic net in the Edit total price dialog.

Dynamic  - The display price will use the automatically updated itinerary total price.
Fixed with dynamic net - The net price will use the automatically updated itinerary net price, but the gross, markup or commission can be set to a fixed value that will not update unless edited.
Fixed - The selected display price values will be fixed and will not update even if the itinerary total price changes.

Edit the Display price using dynamic mode

This is the default option assigned for new itineraries. Dynamic mode ensures that your Display net and gross prices automatically update as items are added to the builder or item prices are edited.

Selecting the dynamic option after previously editing the display price using a fixed option will remove any edited prices and restore the true total prices.

Edit the Display price using a Fixed mode

  1. On the Pricing tab scroll down to Display price line, click the 3 dots on the right and select, Edit display pricing.
  2. Click the Display price setting dropdown to select one of the other options to enable Fixed with dynamic net or Fixed mode.
  3. Depending on the mode selected, either 3 or 5 Calculate using options are available in dropdown
  4. After adjusting your Display price click Save.
  5. The updated Display price will now be saved and visible on the Pricing tab and on Traveller documentation or views.

      Fixed with dynamic net mode

Using Fixed with dynamic net means the net price will use the automatically updated itinerary net price, but the gross, markup or commission can be set to a fixed value that will not update unless edited. There are 3 calculate using options             available and these are:
               Net and Gross
User can change Net and Markup, Margin and Commission will be calculated automatically OR
User can change Gross and Markup, Margin and Commission will be calculated automatically
                    Net and Markup
User can change Net and Margin, Commission and Gross will be calculated automatically OR
User can change Markup and Margin, Commission and Gross will be calculated automatically.
                Net and Commission
User can change Net and Markup, Margin and Gross will be calculated automatically OR
User can change Commission and Markup, Margin and Gross will be calculated automatically

            Fixed mode

Using Fixed mode means the selected display price values will be fixed and will not update even if the itinerary total price changes.  There are 5 calculate using options available. The 3 above above and the 2 additional below:
                Gross and Commission
User can change Gross and Net, Markup and Margin will be calculated automatically OR
User can change Commission and Net, Markup and Margin will be calculated automatically

                Gross and Markup
User can change Gross and Net, Margin and Commission will be calculated automatically OR
User can change Markup and Net, Margin and Commission will be calculated automatically

Note: Selecting the Dynamic option after editing a Fixed price will revert the display pricing back to Dynamic mode, deleting any previously Fixed prices.
Note:
Note: When the Display price is lower than the Total price a warning displays. This warning will disappear when the Display price matches or is greater than the Total price.
